Tropical Cyclone Ingrid = RAIN!

Fri Mar 11, 2005, 12:16 AM
At the moment, pretty much all of north queensland is getting blown around and rained on by Tropical Cyclone Ingrid, a category 5 (ultra-super scary grade) cyclone - that means 290km/h winds!. Luckily, i'm fairly far down the coast, like in the hundreds of klicks away range, so all we're getting is wind (not gale force - quite) and a shitload of rain.

To give you an idea as to the amount of rain, our oval is currently a very, very large puddle, and even though we're in one of the wettest places in Australia, with plumbing to match, our gutters can't quite keep up with supply (or maybe it's because the gutters are clogged a bit at school, lousy maintainence).

On the other hand, i spent my breaks at school today doing some serious headbanging (though i don't have the right type or length of hair to do it properly) and bopping, for lack of a better word.

Now, all i have to do in the weekend is my maths c revision, my maths b revision, my english assignment, my ancient history assignment, my chemistry revision, and my physics assignment. None of which i have started.

Great shit, kiddies :D

head bangin? what to?

oh yeh, for those of you in the rest of the world - the "oval" refers to their playing field, the Australians play their football "Aussy Rules" on an oval field. Weird.

i don't know - the radio room was bieng run by some finnish exchange student, but it was wicked-sick music :D
(the place where i hang out at school is underneath one of the school blocks, and theres a little room with some cdplayers and stuff wired up to a pair of speakers near where i sit :D)
