i know. I'll ask wes how it got to be Townsville someday. Tis a truly ridiculous name - some guy called robert towns or something.

take a shower and shine your shoes, you got no time to lose : you're young men, you must be living...

 I'm saving my pennies for the 6x8 Intuos3- although if I get paid for my web-work for Roche Pharmaceuticals I might try out the low-end Cintiq. Wacom=happiness for digital artists.

ArtRage ROCKS with a tablet!

are those the ones with an actual screen built into them? those would be nifty because you could use them JUST LIKE PAPER!

maybe i should get a job......

Graphire is still a mighty-fine instrument! I don't even have one of those yet...

An alternative is a Tablet PC- most actually use a Wacom digitizer. Some of 'em even have the eraser on the pen- jim-crackin'-dandy!

Intuos is awfully fun because it's got that Air-brush add-in- feels exactly like the real thing!

maybe i should have got the small intuos instead of the lagre graphire - i actually find i only use the top left of the tablet because otherwise i have to move my hand around too much - i can't get a straight line! All good though :D

I bought one of the 6x8" Intuos3's and used it for a day. Fantastic piece of equipment, but it doesn't really change the way I skin or make my designs so I'm taking it back. Really fantastic for programs like ArtRage, or doing illustration in Photoshop, Illustrator or Sketchbook, but doesn't make any difference in skinning.

It's been returned. Thinkin' about an iPod instead... or maybe a G5 Powerbook?...

the G5 can double as an iPod - just strap it to your back (with heavy chains so noone does a grab and run) and buy some earphones :D

Wacom's aren't great for skinning, no, but for drawing they rock - i drew up a few cartoons for my english oral and everyone was like 'you drew those! awesome!'. With my handwriting though, handwriting recognition ain't what it's cracked up to be....
